this was way way better than the first one as far as consistency of narrative goes

gorgeous prose, especially that romantic story within the story (that was also within a story) and there's a certain theme going on around the perspective of history depending on who's telling the tale

still, romance was lacking

liked it better than the first one. good read.

I liked this even better than the first and genuinely STUNNED by the talent of Nghi Vo and how she creates completely immersive worlds of story in under 150 pages.

Sapphic tiger gods trade poetry with scholars? Incredible.

Alright i attempted this series, i love the covers and i love the premise of this character collecting stories but there is just no connection for me. No connection to what is being collected and no connection to any of the characters. I think this series is a hit for some/most but I am apart of the minority on this.
