A wonderful book. At times I felt myself struggling to stay engaged. But I really enjoyed the ending. It had enough horror elements to be considered a horror book. But it was more scary/creepy I felt. And I was really happy that gender had nothing to do with the horror elements. I do hope to place this on my "to read again" pile and hopefully I'll catch more the next time.

I LOVED this book from start to finish. The pacing starts off slower in the beginning in order to provide plenty of background info and establish character traits. The wait is WELL worth it for an ending that was well-drawn out with all the loose ends neatly wrapped up. The pacing really picks up about halfway through, and then it is truly impossible to put down! It left absolutely nothing to be desired by the end of the novel.
