Absolutely horrific read. After I got to the infamous “gun scene” (which takes over 200 pages to get to in an unhinged 600 page book which has no business existing), I was forced to speed read because it was quite actually the worst book I’ve ever read in my life. This book made me go through my pile of “to read” books I have in my room and get rid of the ones I have no interest in because life is too short.

Books like this should not be published. Books like this are dangerous. Books like this set us back hundreds of years. Books like this support rape culture.

If you do have certain kink around this, ok, but maybe keep it to yourself? It is irresponsible to have this text published for the public to read.

Poor writing, bad metaphors, poor character development, nonsensical character motivations and on page rape.

One of my new favorite books. The subject matter is definitely very dark and people should absolutely be aware of that before trying to read these books. At least for me, the subject matter wasn't enough to turn me off, and in reality, I truly loved both the story and the author's style overall. Carlton has a wonderful writing style that flows exceptionally well and still feels completely natural. I constantly found myself enthralled and reading for hours on end with ease. Addie, as a character, was a bit annoying at first but I got used to her personality over time and I loved Zade and Daya (Addie's best friend).

Very curious now to see how I'll handle the second book.

Low key felt like a poorly written Wattpad book from 2012. Appreciated the trigger warnings, but the book writes rape culture off as kinks. Super insensitive masking as “edgy”, and pretty awkward writing.

This was a wild ride for sure. Not what I normally read and Hella dark, but honestly not horrible. The writing was good, though I did see some of the plottwists coming.

It's not my type of book, considering it's mainly about a "relationship " built from stalking and then multiple sexual assaults as well as rape.
If that is what you like to read, you go for it. It was really well written, I can't deny that. If I would have to rate it while just considering the thought outness of it and how well written it is, I'd give it 4/5 ⭐️.
However my actual  rating with how much I liked it is 3.25

To be completely honest I do not know what to write about this book, I'm still shocked I even read that.

Definitely more focused on the "erotica" than a story. So don't pick it up expecting a good story.
