This was a great read. It was fun, and relatable at a lot of parts. I liked the ending. The only reason it wasn’t 5 stars was because it was good but not something I would read again. I wasn’t over the moon about it, but it was good. Would recommend.

“Happy Place” was a cute romance that handled themes of grief and growing up well, but it didn’t live up to the hype (in my personal, private opinion).

Julia Whelan just does such a great job narrating, and I think this book may have bored me a bit more without her talents. I do love a slow burn romance, but this one maybe was too slow? I got a little bored in the middle, and I felt like the the "conflict" in the relationship was just as deep as one in a Hallmark movie -
just lack of communication.
Like, I wasn't rooting for them lol and also!
Was I supposed to catch that she hated being a doctor??? That seemed out of nowhere to me!
Would probs try Ms. Henry again.

This book hit me just right. I don't think I'll be able to put into words how I felt when reading this. I absolutely need to reread & annotate it. Emily Henry is such a phenomenal writer and I have loved every single book by her that I've read. She has a way with words and also at capturing human emotions and dynamics so well. Reading this book made me reflect on my own personal life and struggles in ways I didn't really realise before. A clear 5 star read for me!

this was really cute! pretty repetitive internal dialogue was my main problem. The couple’s main dilemma was mainly miscommunication, which is also a trope I hate, so it was hard to not get super angry at them and to know that if everyone would have just sat down and talked the whole thing could have been avoided. I liked the narrator though, and the ending was sweet, lots of chemistry between the two of them. I would recommend, but I don’t think it’s Emily Henry’s best
