The fight/assassination scenes are pretty detailed, so keep that in mind if you’re squeamish.meesha_mo's review against another edition

Ultimately, it's a good book to read in the sun, but it won't stay on your mind because there isn't a lot to attach to. Yes, you want the 4 old biddies to succeed, but the closest we come to something to be invested in is the supremely layered love story that never panned out, which is realistic, but sidesteps that entirely necessary emotional investment from the reader.
Graphic: Death, Violence, and Gun violence
Moderate: Grief and Sexism
Minor: Animal death, Pregnancy, and Terminal illness

The only thing I wish were different is the narration - it switches between third-person and Billie's first-person, and it's not entirely clear why Billie is the one chosen to tell most of the story. I would've preferred to read all four women's perspectives. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a book that's genuinely fun.
Moderate: Blood, Death, and Violence
