“She might be less than what she had once been, but she was still worth a hell of a lot.”
➽ Killers of a Certain Age is a fun mystery thriller about four former assassins who get targeted in their retirement! Billie, Mary Alice, Helen, and Natalie all used to work for the Museum, an organizational network of assassins. They used to be the top agents in their time, but have now retired from their work. I liked the idea of a mystery book focused on older characters who used to be hitwomen. It was a lot of fun to read, as we followed Billie and her friends as they tried to escape from their former employer. The museum has decided to terminate them for some reason and is sending their much younger agents after them. But Billie was brilliant at her job back in the day and still has some moves, so she and her friends are not going down without a fight! I have to admit that apart from Billie, most characters felt a bit surface level and not that memorable. I still had a lot of fun with the premise though!
