A lot of these books happens 'off screen' as it were. The premise is very interesting but the execution leaves something to be desired. I feel like you don't even get to truly feel the romance between any of the characters because all the connection and interesting plot points happen where you don't get to see them and you have to hear about them.
Very gossip girl feel to it with very few things that keep the plot interesting. The characters are also very flat making it hard to engage with them.

A short little book in the Blue Bloods series. I greatly enjoyed this one!

Not my overall fave Blue Bloods book, but it tied up some loose ends that I've been bothered by since like book two, so i'm happy with it! If you're a fan of the series, you definitely want to read it instead of skipping ahead!

I have two problems with this book.

1) it read like fan fiction. Which is fine, when it’s written by a fan (not the author of the series)

2) what is the obsession with keeping everyone in these books “pure” and “chaste”?! The whole “I’m still a virgin” declaration made me roll my eyes so far into my skull it took a few minutes to get them righted. Only Mimi, the “bad guy” has done the dirty because OF COURSE she has. Using sex as a character device is a real pet peeve of mine, clearly...

A few short stories that move the story along. Oliver is cured of his lust for Schuyler; we see how Allegra and Ben meet (although I would really love to know the whole story); and Schuyler and Jack are bonded.
