This is the first book in the D.I. Tracy Collier crime series. Tracy’s character, as with most detective’s characters, has a troubled past, leaving them flawed. Whilst most authors tend to feed drip us information slowly over the course of a few books in a series, we get to know all the nitty gritty right in this book.

What a past Tracy has had as well. It was awful reading of her childhood and what she went though. My heart went out to her and I could understand the hardened exterior she shows the rest of the world.

Not only do we get to learn of Tracy’s past, but we also have a very sick and twisted killer on the lose killing innocent people. I was desperate to find out the who and why and when all is revealed, will it doesn’t come more shocking than in this novel.

All Those Lies is a dark and at times, disturbing read that you can’t help but be drawn right into. Tracy’s background made this even more of a compulsive and page turner of a read. I thought it was a great start to a new crime series to me and can’t wait to see what is next in the series.
