Saludos, Danna.

I like a little more plot with my spiciness. The characters weren’t really developed.  The sex scenes sure were spicy though!

Something about this book just didn't click with me. I'm worried if the authors won't either.

Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren is one very hot, very quick read. This book had me hooked from the first page and kept me hooked until the very end. Let me tell you a little bit about this book.

Chloe Mills is working hard on her MBA and trying to close a very big marketing deal, if only she did not have to deal with her HOT boss, Bennett Ryan. While running through the presentation for Mr. Ryan, to her surprise things get very heated in the boardroom and now Chloe is having a hard time sorting out what is happening between them. As much as she hates the beautiful bastard, she wants him just a much.

Bennett Ryan has it bad. Ever since seeing pictures of the beautiful Chloe Mills with his family, he has not been able to get her out of his head. He knows that jumping into a relationship with her is dangerous for both business and his peace of mind, but he just can seem to keep his hands to himself. Now with a collection of her panties in his deak drawer and things burning white hot, can these two admit that on the fine line between love and hate, they have both fallen on the side of love.

Bennett and Chloe have the classic hate\lust relationship. I loved these characters. The way that they fight, the pot shots that they take at each other only builds the fire of sexual tension between them. Their friends and family are whitty and help add to the fun by poking at the feelings that they see between these two. This is the kind of story that will make you want to run out and get the rest of the books just to continue the journey with Bennett and Chloe. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Christina Lauren is a household name within the Contemporary Romance genre, but I bet not a lot of people remember they got the start writing this book here and posting chapters online. The Beautiful Bastard series remains my favorite books by Christina Lauren and is probably my initiation into spicy romance.

All of the books in this series are Office Romances, super smutty, and wonderfully heartfelt. Beautiful Bastard is the first, and when I say it is hate-to-love/enemies-to-lovers, I don’t mean that in the vague way so many books now-a-days use the trope. Chloe and Bennett HATE each other, give as good as they get, and use each other’s bodies in equal measure. Chloe is a ball buster and Bennett is her asshole boss. When the simmering, aggressive tension finally snaps between them, the angry sex that ensues is hot and not sweet in the least. What is sweet is how much both of them deny that their hate really isn’t hate at all, and how perfect they actually are for each other.

Beautiful Bastard is a quick, obsessive romp you won’t be able to put down, and the other books in the series are EVEN BETTER. Each book is a new couple, but they are all connected in some way through business and each book has a different singular trope played throughout.

Beautiful Bastard: Hate-to-Love
Beautiful Stranger: Voyeurism
Beautiful Player: STEM girl looks to brother’s best friend for guidance in dating
Beautiful Stranger: Business trip
Beautiful: The final culmination of all the series’s couples that go on a vacation together and the only single guy and girl are paired up

If you like Christina Lauren, Contemporary Romance, office romcoms, or Romance series’ with multiple connected couples, then definitley pick up this series.

NOTE: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE AUDIOBOOKS.

My mother taught me "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all", so I won't.
