While it was an interesting story and an intriguing synopsis, something was missing for me. It could be because this is the first book I've read in this series. I think the story would have been a little more believable if Lilly wasn't a virgin, but I understand she was. Her naïveté and sassiness was endearing and the soft side of Joseph was lovely. I am intrigued enough to wonder about Zander's story!

Oh, what a delightful little book this was. Great writing. Interesting characters. Hot sex scenes. Alpha hero. Hold her own heroine. A little angst. A little sweetness. A little drama. All wrapped up in a nice little HEA.

To be honest having read the blurb, I was expecting something a little darker. Maybe having read many dark books, I’ve become immune? That said, sexy brooding Joseph ticks a lot of boxes – he just a bad boy with a softened edge. I loved innocent Lily. Sometimes a little naïve but stood her ground and loved the effect that this had on Joseph. Their chemistry was sizzling and this book is certainly well worth a read.
loved this part of the series. Really liked how the characters developed. Good story.
