The hymen is literally outside the vagina, not inside the vaginal canal. Other than that stupid mistake, it's a hot read.
O_O <-- That was me when I finished this book. Which let me tell you, friend, I was surprised I finished it at all.
This book was well written, and sure each character had a proper amount of depth to give them real dimension but honestly the story itself...yeah, not my cup of coffee (don't like tea, so yeah.)
I'm all for the sexual fantasies and BDSM sometimes in my books, but the whole master/slave scenario was entirely new to me and I gotta say I did not like it. I'm always in for a little dom/sub sexy read but this particular story was not only dark but the relationship between the two never felt healthy or that it could blossom into true feelings for one another. Maybe it's just me. Who knows. A lot of how the female MC acted with the male MC bothered me. I get that during the sex scenes she was meant to act more submissive and the part of slave but honestly I couldn't stomach it. It not longer felt like a healthy dom/sub type of relationship but more like just what they were a master and a slave. Her waiting for his command, bowing down constantly, him petting her hair and treating her almost like a father does a child by sitting in his lap in some scenes really turned me off big time. And the cage thing? NOPE.
And the female MC was just a bore to me. Her scenes in between about her helping teenagers and such just felt misplaced and I lost interest fast. Too much inner monologuing.

The book follows Lilly and Joseph’s love journey. It is disappointing how we are given limited information about them and their past, making it hard to form an emotional bond with these fictional characters.
The book and storyline felt really rushed and lacked detail and depth. This is my least favourite book from the ‘Highest Bidder’ book series, of which the first two books were excellent! The romantic storyline lacks depth and the spicy level of this book is low compared to the series it belongs to.
