Terry is on my insta buy list! I was not disappointed in this book!!! The rich world building and the characters are right in the same realm as the earlier books. I could immerse myself in Shanara all day, every day! Highly recommend to new readers interested in High Fantasy that stands in line with the likes of Lord of the Rings, Pern, Game of Thrones.

I am glad the book came out, as it means that the sad demise of this beloved world is almost over.

I will make sure my children know when to stop in this universe. please put out the final book shortly so we can just end this torture that was once one of my favorite worlds.

It's starting to seem like Terry Brooks is running out of ideas. His earlier series were so good at world building and exciting new stories, but the Fall of Shannara series has basically been a retelling of the same stories he has already told. Same unwilling Druid figure, siblings with the Wishsong. I feel like his earlier books had a much more compelling problem that the heroes were trying to solve, but in this case there isn't really much there.

I'm starting to feel the same about the new Shannara books as I do about the Star Wars sequels - unimpressed and disappointed.

This was a great follow up to The Black Elfstone.
I love the characters more than I previously did and that is always a big bonus for me.
All of the intertwining plots were moved forward. The way things jump around between the story lines keeps you wondering what is going to happen next.
A couple of pretty major cliffhangers end the book, so I can't wait until next June to see how they turn out!!

once you've read other books by Terry Brooks this starts to get a bit predictable, but the thing that bothered me the most is: why do these people keep falling in love in five minutes? what the heck?
(are straights okay?) (is this why you won't write a queer romance, Terry?)

Another incredible Shannara book!

(Stole the favorite quote idea from a friend!)

Terry - Can I call you Terry? I feel like we know each other. I've read every single book about Shannara and I love them.

I have a request. Just one. Please put the Sword of Shannara into young Shea's hands before this series is over. It's all I ask of you.

Well done. Looking forward to the next installment.
