This is a collection of short stories. Naptum, Chief’s Story, and Homunculus are stellar and definitely the stand out stories for me. They would be at a solid four star rating. They were both emotional and adorable.

The rest of the stories I could take or leave. Some of them were fine and some of them weren’t my cup of tea.

There’s definitely a range of tones and relationships here with not everything having a happy ending. This manga has horror, suspense, fluff and more, so if you’re looking for a variety of types of monstrous stories, this is a good compilation. I will also say, it is nice to have a work that centers around monster love without it being nsfw.

This is a really great short story manga collection. Each story is interesting and I don't think any of them were disappointing. The art style is also great, some of the panels are amazing and the colour pieces in my edition were gorgeous. I really liked all the different depictions of love and I think how they are presented is a really interesting concept. I think Inhuman Flower may be my favourite as it was a bit different to the rest but the bird people stories are the most fleshed out and so I was more invested in those.
Also note: I knew this going in but just to confirm there's no spice here despite was the title hints at!

The translated title is very misleading. There's concepts of love here between the creatures/monsters and humans but it's mostly G rated and very innocent. This is more like an exploration of what love can be in different forms to different humanoid species and humans. They're all also hetero-leaning.
The bird people are the best developed here but all the stories were interesting. The art is really the draw here.
It's also surprising that this is from the same creator of one of the most extremely graphic BL manga (sexual and gore) series I've ever read (MADK) but this is very tame.
