This is a 5-star read that I have no intention of ever reading again. It broke my heart over and over again, but is such a beautiful story of womanhood, resilience, and heartbreaking history. I started this book thinking that I knew a lot about WWII but reading from a youn  womans perspective, whom I am similar in age to at the beginning of the book, was an experience and a deeper education that you can't find in a textbook. Forever changed by the bravery of the Lublin Ladies.

Not the most memorable concentration camp book I’ve read. I haven’t read about Ravensbruck so that was interesting and horrifying. But I didn’t connect with the characters meaningfully or find the plot particularly compelling. I think the pacing was a bit off and it was a broad story arc. Without the narrowed in pieces that make it more compelling. But it was fine overall
