This is a fantastic conclusion to the Shifting Fates trilogy. We get to see Rowan’s relationships grow stronger, even as they deal with some huge obstacles thrown in their way. The spice level definitely heats up more in this book! We also see Rowan deal with trauma, both emotional and physical, as well as unpleasant revelations that could impact her entire life. I find Rowan to be super relatable in certain ways, and the way she handles trauma is one of them. She has anxiety attacks, she pushes people away, she doubts herself, and she pushes herself too far to try to escape the pain. Her bonds help her find healthier ways to handle her problems, which I love. I also like that she has relationships with people outside of her mates. She has friends in the pack that show up and stand up for her, and she needs those connections as much as she needs her bonds. The story is well-paced with plenty of action, drama, and intrigue. I’m sad that Rowan’s story is over, but I love the way it ended and I’m excited to see what the author does next!
