This book halted my teenage obsession with Chuck's writing. I was beginning to realize that all his books were written the same way, and this one was just disgusting. The boy in the pool...I still think about that and feel my stomach flip. Also, I used to take CPR all the time for my job at a daycare, and after reading this, I had a hard time touching my mouth to the dummy's without tilting the jaw back to look for semen.

Palahniuk is such an imaginative writer. I had heard over and over again that this book was so graphic and disgusting that people fainted during public readings of it. While it was both of those things, I was totally engrossed in it and able to get through the gross stuff. I really enjoyed reading this cohesive collection of very dark and twisted stories.
