5 stars for the epic love story
Kiss my scars by Danesha Little.
I’ve been following this story since it’s Wattpad days. This book garnered so many emotions. This can only be described in one word and that’s epic. I had the illusion early on that I was watching the game with the characters in that gymnasium. You feel like you are a part of the story since it is written so beautifully and the characters are so well-developed. I adored Tee’s intricacy and the how her power developed over time. Tell me more about her and TD, please! The mark of a well-crafted novel is the capacity to turn my hatred of her mother into affection for her once more by the conclusion. This was a welcome read for me after a long reading slump.

I first read the early version of this book on Wattpad and fell in love with it. The story is heartbreaking and hopeful! Danesha really put her heart and soul into this and you can tell this story came from a real place. I love how she handled her characters with such love, support, respect, and care. There isn’t gratuituous or graphic scenes but the emotion was just enough to illustrate what Tasheena has been through.

I did wish the evolution of her and her mom’s relationship was a bit slower as they seemed to turn good too fast for me, but I’m glad the mom came around. I love how TD loved Tee
