A nice story, but too predictable for my taste.

There was nothing wrong with this book, it was a fun, quick read. However, I called exactly who they "perfect kiss" person was immediately. And I was right!

DNF - I almost never DNF books but my 2024 resolution is to do so more and not waste my time on books I am not loving.
I am sooooo disappointed with this book - I have been looking forward to reading it for ages after seeing the cover pop up in bookstores. While the premise is really interesting, I think the story itself felt quite boring and I did not like the writing style at all, it felt very very juvenile.

Gorgeously everyday, a story that should by all rights be a raucous ride through the life of a more modern (and less cringe-worthy) Bridget Jones feels more like a magical realism tour through someone's photo album, as they tell you all the stories and the tea goes lukewarm. Connection and authenticity are at the heart of the story, drawing you in and making you love every moment you get to spend with Amy and her found family of friends.

I really surprised myself with this one. I picked it because the cover was really pretty but I knew it was a romance novel that wasn’t YA and I usually struggle with adult books and find them kind of boring. I also tend to not get on with the writing style or be able to relate to anything happening. But this was so heartwarming and funny and I loved it!
