Maybe I'm just sick of Vonnegut, but this wasn't particularly a winner for me. While the author self-insertion was an interesting twist, and Vonnegut has his traditional straightforwardly philosophical style, something was missing.

I think I might just always be disappointed in the character of Kilgore Trout. When Vonnegut writes about his novels it feels like he is just listing ideas for books and forgets that he is actually supposed to be writing a book.

Just a bit much, even for me...

This book was just so annoying in every way. Maybe it’s well-written but I hated it.

I love Vonnegut. I’m not sure why it has been so long since I read any of his novels, but it will certainly not be long before the next.

This novel is a great satirical look at America… I love the pacing, the omniscient narrator, the humor. It’s just a really good novel.
