PJO is hands down my favorite series of all time. I grew up with these books and I cannot even tell you how much it's played a role on my life. I owe Uncle Rick for instilling in me my love of reading and a sense for adventure.

Percy Jackson book #5
Middle grade adventure/fantasy
The finale to this series got more intense and darker than the previous books. I did adore this series. It was a great adventure with some interesting characters to follow. The greek mythology was spot on and the characters from the mythology were wonderful on the pages of these books. I would recommend anyone that likes these type of fantasy adventures and greek mythology, young or old but the humor and some content is childish as it is aimed at the young readers.
I have seen many compare this series to Harry Potter and it has some similar tropes and is in a similar genre, aimed at the young reader. If you like one, you will probably also like the other. There are many differences and where HP got more complex and darker, PJ stayed simple and lighter even though it did get intense and darker.
