I loved this. Ross as a character is so interesting, especially with the first person POV, as you watch her try and rationalise everything she has been taught with everything she is experiencing. The side cast is also so fleshed out and likeable, like for the majority you learn who they are, how they have gotten here, and what they are fighting for.
The ending????? Even though I did see elements of it coming, it still felt like a gut punch. AHHHHH I need to read the sequel as soon as possible.

This book was really good… until the last like 20 pages or so. The ending felt very rushed, which was unfortunate because the twist was very well set up. It just happened very suddenly. It almost felt like the author had a page limit and suddenly realized that she was close to that limit. Otherwise this was an excellent book
