Allyson James's 'A Little Night Magic' and 'Sweet Enchanment' by Anya Bast were the stories I liked. I will start reading both authors's series.

** Please not that this review/rating is for Lora Leigh's "A Christmas Kiss" only.

A Christmas Kiss - Rated: 4 Stars

Note: This novella was my first breeds experience and it got me interested enough to start the series.

This one takes place at Haven.

We have Jessica a human who betrayed the breeds, but not because she wanted too. Her father concocted a drug that forced her to do this and she didn’t know. She has lost so much.

Hawke a Breed and Jessica’s mate. He’s known for almost 2 years that he’s her mate, but he had to stay way to prove her innocence and to protect her from the mating heat. He knows if he can’t tell her soon that he will lose her for good.

This one was heartbreaking. I felt for Jessica and her loneliness and everything she lost. She’s drifting. Besides these two working out their issues, we have someone on the inside trying to destroy the Breeds.

It was sexy and hot. I enjoyed seeing this couple celebrate their first Christmas together and with the other Breeds at Haven.

1. Vampire's Ball by Angela Knight: Part of the Mageverse series. I adore this series. Ridge and Kat were a great couple. I'm usually disappointed with novella length stories of a series, but I actually enjoyed this one. I like the "recruitment" aspect of the story. I'm not exactly sure where the storyline is going from here...but I can't wait to find out.

I skipped reading the other stories.

I'm not sure what to say about this book. I really enjoyed all 4 stories, some more than others, true, but still very entertaining. Unfortunately I realized once again, that I'm not a category reader. All this christmas-y feeling had me theeth grinding and cursing.
Nevertheless, all 4 stories had different approaches - some funny, some sweet, some just plain cute.
Don't you think?
A great book for reading during the christmas time!

3,5 stars just for Sweet Enchantment by Anya Bast

I read Sweet Enchantment because I plan to read Dark Magick series by same author and hear this novella is the prequel.

Bella Rhiannon Caliste Mac Lyr (really long name!) a noble at Seelie Court, descendant of Tuatha de Danann, want to free her ex lover, Ronan Achaius Quinn, with propose marriage to him, to save Ronan from the Queen of Summer's wrath because Ronan try to help The Phaendir, their enemy. Bella still can't forget how Ronan had broke her heart and humiliated herself in front of all entire Seelie Court. Little she know, Ronan do it because he doesn't want The Queen to cast Bella out from the court. Ronan is Unseelie, or dark Fae, but have a permit from the Queen to become Seelie Mage. So, if he unite himself with Bella, who have a Unseelie blood too,a dark secret whose she keep tightly, they don't have a future together.

Ronan then find a way to help himself, because he have something precious which The Queen want to possess, to free them from The Phaendir imprisonment. But to do that, he must escape, and approach Bella, to make her to love him again, because Bella is his soulmate. Can Bella forgive Ronan? What future they have if the Queen know about their escape?

For novella, even its to short, I enjoy reading it. I love the new way of fae and Irish mythology, and Ms Bast can described the world building without make reader overwhelmed. The ending will make reader satisfied, even its really bittersweet. And you will get a brief appearance of Aislinn, the hero of [b:Wicked Enchantment|6568819|Wicked Enchantment (Dark Magick, #1)|Anya Bast|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1265439998s/6568819.jpg|6761829].
