JP and Cammy are so cute. Love me a little French Canadian.
This was a book I did not want to put down. I really enjoyed the pacing, and from the beginning, you could see JP's obsession with Cammy. You fall in love with both of those characters and the friends around them, who are family.
Overall, I loved the book, but I definitely wish we saw a bit more oomph of JP's upbringing and Cammy's issues with her family. I felt like that was really untapped. This could have held onto so much more drama, but the redemption love story was the focus, which I appreciated.
Super cute, easy hockey read, and I can't wait for the next Rookie Hawkeyes book. Do I smell Emmett??

First time starting a story where, I must admit that I disliked the main character, JP, in this case. My heart felt heavy for Cammy as I read about what JP did to her.
Of course, there’s more to the story, why JP did what he did, and we learn the reason as the story slowly unfolds. JP knows he screws up and works very hard to redeem himself and Cammy makes him work for it. It is a lovely story with heart felt moments, secrets and twists and turns til the last page.
It's the type of book that I know it's going to be less than 3 stars. The writing style it's not my favorite, and I'm already bored. Better to dnf than to give a bad rating.
