Oh, Charlie and Reid were sweet. This one took a little longer for me to get through than Unwritten Rules (or at least it seemed that way?) but I enjoyed the way these two circled around each other before finally getting together, AND I really appreciated how Reid was able to grow both *because of* his relationship with Charlie AND *outside of* that relationship. Plus, I found the pacing of their relationship's development really well-handled.

Once again, a perfect amount of baseball and I continue to love how K.D. Casey handles Jewish rep. Reid's Judaism is so different from Zach's in Unwritten Rules, and both are super real experiences that people in my life have!

Looking forward to the third book, and I hope Casey continues to write other sports (or, tbh, specifically baseball!) romances!

I liked the parts about anxiety, alcohol use disorder, and navigating realizing you’re bi. There were a few times I was confused by the timeline and there were some editing/grammar problems (although not glaring).

Book 2 in the Unwritten Rules series follows Charlie & Reid. I really enjoyed how low angst this book was. Charlie and Reid are just so good together and work hard to understand each other. I also really loved Reid's character arc, how he grew in his confidence and took back some of the narrative as he got his second chance in the majors. Charlie's growth and understanding of how different their situations are in terms of their careers was wonderful.
