The best part of this is the camp nostalgia and the friendship between the girls. The actual murder and the ending left me completely underwhelmed.

Eh, didn’t love this one. I enjoyed the summer camp setting, small town drama, and strong female friendships but everything else was a pretty huge miss for me. Heller and everyone in that small town was the absolute worst and I didn’t buy into the romance storyline at all.

Probably 2.5 ⭐️ if I’m being honest. I don’t feel this book added anything to the genre that hasn’t been done before. I don’t always need something new and refreshing, quite the contrary actually, but I felt very uninvested in Goldie and the mystery.
