The best of the trilogy! It sucked me in once I was able to sit down and set aside proper time to read it so I basically read it in two days, the second during which I read like 600 pages (today). I was very satisfied with the conclusion. I can't think of much else to say, but I was especially drawn to Ali's and Nahri's relationship. I love them both. I'm also glad that neither Muntadhir and Jamshid died. I couldn't have expected to love Muntadhir either after Kingdom of Copper. I just love the characters' relationships with each other, I think that's Chakraborty's strong point, in addition to her world-building. It's so much; many could see it as overwhelming, which is a fair criticism, but I think it makes her story richer and more compelling. If you follow along closely I don't think you will have many problems because she ties everything together in this last installment, I think.

I really should have DNFd instead of making myself finish so that’s on me. Least favorite of the trilogy

OK this was the third book and the most packed and plot wise complex compared to the other two. I love all the characters in this book I love how far they have come, and their redemption arcs, the beauty of daevabad, and Cairo as well are the focus points of this book, and we see more insight and backstory to the Marids and Jinns, I think it was a great decision to read this series, after reading The Adventures of Amina Al- Sirafi the only thing that disappoints me is that there's only one more book that is accompanying to the series, and there aren't enough books that have the same Middle Eastern background for their series and do not have this much resource and research being put into them to produce such a beautiful work of literature!

What a great ending to this series. I will miss these characters but was so satisfied with how this ended.
