What an odd, delightful little book. Of course, being David Lynch, that shouldn't be a surprise, but then his oddness sometimes manifests in unpredictable ways. The bits of memoir are fascinating, the approach and philosophy interesting and the peppered advice practical. And the pacing, right down to the one-sentence chapter, that's classic David Lynch. Look, I'm coming at this as a fan, so I already know that his style is something I appreciate. The book is slight, and not overly profound when it comes down to it, but still...it connects.

Very light, fast read. He's a very optimistic and open person, which is surprising considering the darkness and violence of his films.
