Part fanfic, part political statement, more great than good.
Buen libro. Me gusta mucho, mucho leer a García Márquez.
3.5
Not my favourite Marquez but still stunning. Love his prose. Brings a smile to my face. The smatterings of dialogues are like masterful strokes of a literary paintbrush. I’m glad he can still blow me away.

“He was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finish line. The rest was darkness. “Damn it,” he sighed. “How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!”
Found this book due to John Green’s Looking for Alaska, and found the analogies and similarities interesting between the two; an enjoyable and interesting read from a man full of suffering.
