This is my favourite wheel of time book so far. It finally took the finally step of standing on its own from lord of the rings.

I am giving this a 5.75 because I absolutely love this book. It is considered in my opinion, the best Wheel of Time novel. It's close to another book but this one just hits the home run for me. Everything even after finishing the series, book 4 is incredible. Just a masterclass in set up and actually giving us something exciting and instantly cool. There was so much happening but it was the most interesting stuff I've read in a long time. Absolutely will say Shadow Rising is a pretty awesome book.
