Another win for the readers- be still my happy heart. I dare you guys NOT to love Hazel , I adore heroines that are unapologetically themselves. And Hazel is that x100. She's awkward, impulsive, sometimes a hot mess, but she is also confident, loyal, has the biggest heart and the best intentions. And Josh manages something hard- he totally deserves her. Josh starts off a bit closed off, but he takes to Hazel's friendship so easily, it's so easy to imagine them together.

This is a slow burn, friends-to-lovers, kinda romance. The pace is quick and your attachments to these characters is quicker.

Some additional happy notes:
- Hazel has more sexual experience (quantity wise) than Josh and- hear me out here- NO ONE slut shames her
- Emily and Dave are awesome friends
- Winnie the labradoodle
- No drama for the most part, minor OM/OW thoughts
- I can't get over how GOOD Hazel and Josh are for each other. They're so healthy and I LOVE IT.

This book was a light, fun romance. Told in dual perspective between quirky Hazel and serious, but sweet, Josh. I found it sometimes hard to tell which voice was which (and its happened to me with Christina Lauren books before) - it seems really obvious that the male protagonist was written by a woman.

I really enjoyed Hazel's unapologetic weirdness, that she was so staunch in her view never to change for a guy. Some parts were lacking, for example, Josh mentions his (i guess formerly after Hazel's arrival) best friend and business partner but he never actually turns up as a character. I enjoyed that both Hazel's and Josh's parents were a part of the story.

It was a little predictable but what can you expect from a rom-com style book? I think its better than some of the previous Christina Lauren books
Spoiler the trope of not communicating is there but isn't as prominent

Why is Hazel so relatable? She's quirky, funny and totally lovable. Josh is the opposite. The two met back at university but they lost contact for years, at least until Hazel finds out that her new best friend's brother is actually Josh. The two starts hanging out together, especially when Josh gets his heart broken by his girlfriend. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings for each other grow. Now they just need to decide if they want to take a chance.

I think this is my favourite novel by Christina Lauren. It was so good and gave so much warm feelings.
