I'm being a little generous with the 4 stars. Probably a 3.5. I think it's hard to translate a book because it's impossible to pick up all the nuances. It was a little longer than it needed to be and the humor was a little different, I think. Maybe more subtle. I'm glad I read to the end, but I don't think I'll continue the series.

Very fun book - and if you substitute “8-year-olds” for old people, you’ll appreciate it even more !

A good romp by senior pursuing crime to better their conditions in a senior's home run by a miserly pair! It was a relief from my usual heavy reads.

This book is suspiciously similar to The 100 Year Old Man who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared, but without the charm, cleverly created characters or skillful use of language.

Didn’t love this book.
Cute story but it took to long, audio book was hard to follow.
Wished I would have liked it more because the story sounds funny!

A fun story of 5 pensioners cooking up criminal activities, large and small. Great messages about the elderly being capable, with lots of clever solutions to foil the security of their different hits.

Of course, it’s all very far fetched, but that’s what’s made it so fun. I like Brains the best, he’s the one who figures out how to get around tech stuff that protects their targets. It’s good they had their prison stint, so that experience was part of the story.

A bit too long since it’s all the same theme, but it was well done, so it kept my attention.
