Loved hearing more about Jeffrey’s backstory and the issues faced at the start of his and Sara’s relationship. I need Possum to have some good luck come his way though - from getting punched in the face by Jeffrey to losing his money in the bail, not to mention raising another man’s son - he deserves something good to happen to him!
Found the characters compelling and enjoyed the premise of the story.
I enjoyed Lena in this story too - maybe because their was much less of her…

Though I initially thought the case was moving at snail's pace, I was pleasantly surprised how the flashback and the current timelines were made to merge coherently and how developments shown in one then allowed the sequences in the other to proceed. Well put together.

The book was not really keeping me interested much from the start to mid which ended up with me skipping lines a few times until something relevant to the story happened again. But the end got me back into it! The plot twist was definitely unexpected!
