As always I will add the disclaimer "Hey maybe this book just isn't for me" but, in reality I think this book just isn't good in the slightest. This is probably the worst book I read this year. It might even be the worst book ive read in five years. I honestly probably should have DNF'd it but, I heard that the cliff hanger was just to good. There were an insane amount of five star reviews. I know reading is subjective. But, I just cannot see a drop of decent enjoyment in this book. I also kept hoping the book would get better. But, honestly? It never came. The writing comes off very immature. There is no depth to any of the character. Also all this girl really has going for her is "ooo im pretty" and I am a virgin. There is zero personality and has a group of guys madly in love with her. The dynamic between her and some of the guys makes zero sense with how the author build up their relationship. Normally, I can imagine but not when the sentences are this poorly written. The spice is so repetitive it feels like the author copy and pasted bits and pieces of it between each scene. I honestly cannot think of one thing I enjoyed about this book. Also the cliff hanger was nothing to write home about. I did not care cause I didn't care about the characters. So disappointed.
Would I recommend this book? No.

The book pulled me in and piqued my interest. I’m intrigued to see where this trilogy is going but it still needs to deliver answers.

The mystery aspect is also sooo interesting, I keep trying to guess everything (I’m wrong every time).
And I love how complex the characters and the story is, it has such a beautiful depth!!
I loved the secret society trope and the ending was such a plot twist, I can’t wait for the next book.
Seriously, if you enjoy dark romances with why choose, a mystery aspect and secret societies this is THE book for you.
