This is one of those books that keeps you hooked despite some of its flaws. The plot itself is not particularly compelling and filled with moments that had me rolling my eyes. It showd alot of the same dark acamedia bullet points that I have seen many times. Yet, despite these issues, it managed to hold my interest with the characters that were being shown throughout the book.
The book shines with the steamy parts. Very hot and she knows how to write spice. Started at the end showing alittle big of the Playstation and had a good cliffhanger to .ake me want to go fwd. I listened to this book and it was a full cast which I think really helped if I had just read. I want to really like Skyla so will see if throughout she wins me over.

Let me say that Liam, Ronan and Vincent all brought something to this book that really makes each one absolutely delicious to read. I’m still unsure about Asher though lol.
A secret society why choose + witchy vibes had me all about this book and I LOVED Skyla as a FMC. I loved how her relationship with each of them helped morph her into finding herself as she lets them in. Literally.
The storyline is what makes this though and it’s hard to describe without full spoilers but if you love dark academia with tasty bits of spice; look no further.
All the tropes in this are worth it:
Bullying, why choose, age gap, touch her and d!e, forbidden, praise, stalker, arranged marriage, secret society and sooooo many more.
I was so happy to get this as an ARC and devour it in a day but now I have to wait for book 2!? How will I survive!?

I loved absolutely loved!! The whole series! The suspense kept you at the end of your seat and the twists? They just throw you on the floor! No remorse. There was no foreshadowing you could not guess the twists if you tried! I'm not a fan of cliffhangers but I read these having all books being already released! So I ATE. IT. UP! It would just launch me into the next book like I never finished the first! So good! This was my first secret society type book and the way Katelyn wrote these three? It will not be my last! A why choose at that! I can never say no. Every book from the first is spicy and continuously gets spicier. When you think it can't get any spicier it does.
The audio was done so flawlessly. I would listen again!
Vincent was my favorite. To be honest the most unhinged ones always are!!
