W. T. F. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Okay so uh why did I wait so long to read this series?! ๐Ÿ˜… Idk but geezus.. Several men who absolutely fall head over heels, doting & ravenous for one girl with no real rational reason? Yes please! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป I love that each MMC is different in his own way, a different personality, thought process & way that he treats her. As for Asher seriously wtf?! ๐Ÿ™„ Fucking up from the get go only to finally start to change his tune then fuck up again? *sigh* be still my tattered heart ๐Ÿ˜ญ That cliffhanger is a gut punch- no scratch that it literally gutted me open on full display. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ As for the FMC, she's likeable, soft & caring but still has an air of defiance in her & I love that, I just hope she doesn't become annoyingly fragile in the next book. As for the plot there are definitely a couple crazy twists and I have a feeling a few more coming that will shed some light on wtf is going on with that ending, I hope ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป Now let me go running to the next book ASAP bc I can't stand this not knowing. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

My most dominant thought on Deceit? Skyla has a magical ๐Ÿฑ. Every man she encounters wants a taste, and I mean that in the literal sense. She goes from being a virgin in an arranged marriage, to having 3 boyfriends in a very short time (still a virgin). Get it girl!!

*There were 13 spicy scenes in Deceit. Iโ€™ve included the pages & percentages at the bottom of this review.*

Deceit was giving Ritual vibes - dark academia about a secret cult like group of powerful men who essentially are given wives that are the daughters of other men in this group.

Skyla grew up in London, so she was sheltered from the Gallows Hill/Brethren life. Sheโ€™s thrust into it face first by her father and has no choice but to comply. Sheโ€™s told right away that sheโ€™s betrothed to Asher. Meanwhile, Asher is hellbent on making her life hell.

Along the way, Skyla develops relationships with three different men - none of which are Asher - and theyโ€™re all just totally cool with her having multiple boyfriends. They never have sex in the P in V sense but there is a wholllleee lot of oral. Once Skyla had a taste, girl was insatiable ๐Ÿฅต

After that cliffhanger, Iโ€™m eager to continue with the series and see how Asher will fit into this little harem ๐Ÿ˜‰

Definitely mine candy/smut. Enjoy the audiobook with the different voices for the different characters. Very intrigued to listen to the second one.

An interesting introduction to this world and its characters. Iโ€™m intrigued and will continue, but I feel like the relationships happened really fast.

I was a bit surprised at the ending, I can understand after reading chapter one of the next book, but that one hurt.   Asher has his hands full fixing this.
