"...Oh to be sure there is much we don't understand. The years pass in their hundreds and thousands, and what does any man see of life but a few summers, a few winters? We look at mountains and call them eternal, and so they seem...but in the course of time, mountains rise and fall, rivers change theur course, stars fall from the sky, and great cities sink beneath their seas. Even gods die, we think. Everything changes."
Long, epic and worth the read. I never thought I would get into a sci-fi series, but this series is completely different than I expected. Book two blew me away and I can't wait to continue onto 3, 4 and 5!

After 1 and a half years of putting this book on and off, I've finally managed to finish it. This book has been such a roller coaster ride. I loved the Arya and Daenerys chapters the most. To be completely honest I liked Theon's chapters more than Davos', it's probably because I really like Asha though. I just thought Davos chapters were a bit bland and boring. Sansa and Tyrion chapters are actually quite good as well. Jon and Catelyn chapters were ok, but I wasn't in love with it. Overall, it was a really enjoyable read.

Leggermente sotto il primo libro perché parte davvero piano, ma Martin scrive sempre divinamente, specie i personaggi
The first half is great too, but the second half, oh my fucking god. It's so thrilling and enthralling. Honestly one of the best books I've ever read.
Jon's chapters in the Skirling Pass, the Battle of Blackwater Bay, Arya's escapades in Harrenhal. Masterful storytelling. Unfortunately Daenerys' chapters are still pretty uninteresting.

Great continuation of A Song of Ice and Fire. I can't wait to read A Storm of Swords!
