Genuinely at a loss for words. This book is heart breaking beyond belief. Khaled Hosseini’s dedication to write every single character and setting with such depth made the novel so full of life and the story that much more impactful. There were times where I felt I was right there with Amir as he’s detailing the events of his life and I felt my heart break at every trouble the round faced Hassan and Sohran faced. The Kite Runner paired with A Thousand Splendid Suns are the only novels where I have truly felt connected to every single character to the point where I’ve been pushed to tears. All I can say is that this story was so well written that I would recommend everyone read it a thousand times over ;)
I truly did enjoy this story and how it really opened your eyes to today’s modern issues. The story teaches you so much and really gets you to understand what our character is going through and what today’s real people are. A great read that I’d recommend for people to pick up and learn.
