i enjoyed this more than the previous books but i still ended up skimming it bc i didn’t really care about the MCs. i do find the other characters more interesting and likeable so i think i will end up finishing the series i just need a break bc the writing style is not my favourite. it feels convoluted, rushed, and a little juvenile but i could be biased against it since i don’t feel much connection to the MCs. i did find the side plot interesting but it definitely felt a little messy and confusing the way everything was revealed and explained.
