Unsurprisingly, he's done it again! Backman's writing style is so different than many authors I've read and I still don't know how he manages to suck me into a story and world the way he does. His ability to write grief, friendship, and love blows my mind every time. I loved Ted & Luisa's friendship and how they (and others) were all held together by the artist. In an interview, Backman said that he wanted to put everything into this book as though it could be the last one he writes, and it is so clear that he reached his goal. Another work of art (though still doesn't top my love for Beartown).

Fredrik Backman’s books usually bring me immense joy, and this one is no different. The writing is beautiful, but it is the characters that shine. They are all so lovable and face so many challenges. It’s hard to do anything other than root for them. I enjoyed this so much and think most people will probably enjoy it.
