So this was a bit twee for my taste (which some questionable neurodivergent and latinx rep) but the epilogue slapped so hard that I had to bump this up a star.

Hats off to Lauren Ambrose for her audio narration.

This was delightful. Warm, humorous. Definitely recommend the audiobook. I wonder if reading it in text would have the same charm - I worry that the inner dialogue would read as flat. While the author never uses the term neurodivergent, Molly is clearly on the autism spectrum, and while yes, the author cherry picked and stereotyped qualities associated with that diagnosis, I felt that the author did a great job introducing this perspective to populations who may otherwise not know anything about the autism community. There is way too much nuance to encapsulate fully in one fiction novel and I don't find fault in the author using Molly's characteristics as a plot device, but I can see how folks who are more familiar with neurodivergance would see this portrayal as reductive.

Nonetheless, I loved the mystery and while some folks would call the second half of the novel slow moving, I thought it was warm and human and insightful. I really fell for the characters.

I blew through the audiobook in about three days. Loved her perspective, the crime to solve and great ending.
