As is typical for Julia Quinn's books, this one was really good. The writing was well done for the most part and I couldn't help but enjoy it. It took me a tiny bit longer to read than some of Quinn's other Bridgerton books, and I think that was due to the short story format used here. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong! I liked reading about these four ladies we wouldn't have otherwise heard about, and I especially liked how all of their stories intertwined somehow. But there was a lot of like, love at first or second sight, and all the stories basically read the same. I also didn't like how the POV between female and male lead would change mid page. I have to assume it's due to the length of each story; you can't really have rapid narrative changes and have them be separated too. It surprisingly wasn't too bad, but there were times where I would be engrossed in one pov, then would get startled out of it having belatedly realizing it had switched to the other main character.

Definitely a fun read though! I liked being able to place where this would go in the Bridgerton family's book lineup and getting that extra background information on the world.

Muito bom, gostei muito das duas histórias, mas principalmente da primeira, amei os personagens e deixou meu coração quente pelos casais!!

The Further Observations of Lady Whistledown is an absolute gem for all Bridgerton fans! Featuring four different stories within one book, I love how Julia Quinn has opened up the world by incorporating new characters written by the other authors. While each story only has a few chapters, it was great to be able to hear Lady Whistledown write again! 😍 I definitely missed this about the Bridgerton series and with new characters involved, it does make the world seem a bit more realistic as not everything revolves around the Bridgerton siblings. Aside from that, I think it's refreshing to have different writing styles in each story. Julia Quinn's style is a bit lengthy at times for me, and I definitely appreciate the shorter and wittier dialogues of the other authors a little more. 😌 I do wish that we would be able to see certain characters with a bit more diversity as all four ladies are definitely very similar to one another. 🥺 Nevertheless, I'm glad that this little collaboration happened and I do hope Netflix gets to incorporate all of the books into the series eventually! 🤩
