And they were roommates...

Sweet, sweet short novel that cured my (awfully persistent) reading slump. Sasaki and Miyano was truly a treat of a good slow burn young love that all of the characters deserve their own story.

Some parts of the book were included in the Sasaki and Miyano anime (series and movie) that were truly enjoyable, but I could use an OVA or short anime length treat of the two.

Refreshing reading experience!

I LOVE THESE BOYS SO MUCH!!!! I ran to this when I saw it in store because waiting 3 months for the manga to update kills me. After reading this, I feel even more inclined to say Hirano is in DENIAL. Absolutely.

Knocked off a star for the writing. It’s simple and that’s okay, but it seems like there are a lot of missed opportunities to show not tell. It’s a light novel so I’m not too disappointed by it, but I also think descriptions could’ve been fleshed out a bit more.

This was a really sweet look at how Hirano and Kagiura first met and become close. I enjoyed the story but it does need another quick edit. Some of the translation is clunky and I'm pretty sure there is at least one place where either the wrong name is used or Hirano is talking in the third person and it read really weird. Otherwise it was a solid read and I look forward to more in the future.

no bc the way Hirano has me in a damn chokehold is not a joke like Kagiura I get it  😩
BUT, I do not like Hirano and Kagi as a romantic pairing. At all. Kagi's crush on him just comes off like a childish puppy love thing and Hirano feels a few years older instead of just one, the way he acts like he's getting his master's in Motherology™️ like that's his son??? (they had some moments in the bonus Sasaki&Miyano mangas that had me punching the air like that should be ME 😭)
Anyways, what can I say much like Kagiura I am nothing but a Simp™️ for Hirano and I will be consuming every bit of content I can get my hands on
