I  was hesitant to read this one because tbh, I wasn’t a fan of Crossbody from his appearances in the earlier books. I’m SO glad i did cause now I absolutely love him and teared up multiple times while ready. He and Vince are so different, and it was nice to read about their relationship grow. 
Nobody writes such sweet vulnerability like Lily Mayne!!!!!

All my assumptions were destroyed... This book ended up being a voyage throughout the most delicious plot between Vince and Crossbody. Bickering coworkers, tension filled moments, hate sex leading to enemies with benefits, a degradation kink that shocked me at every turn, messy families adding to the impossibility of their relationship and the sweetest plot twists over and over.

I was giggling and kicking my feet whevener I read another crucial plot moment. Seriously, when Frederik answered the phone I lost my mind. Just like when animation movies get to that happy twist and you are left in wonder.
Yet, Cora has been annoying me a little bit. Leaving me curious if/when he gets his book I’ll love it as much. Probably will. Lily works magic.

Every time I pick up a "Goliaths of Wrestling" book I find myself thinking wow this is my new favorite book. I think I have a new favorite series! I'm so invested in the story. Not just the romance in each book but also the connections and throwbacks in each book. Like I ironically forgot all about Axel, the ailyn, from "Impromptu Match" until he appeared again. And he did so in such a perfect way. 

Universe! There's just so much I genuinely love about this series. I love what happened with that cake, I love the characters, I love the setting, and I even love that Frank and Beans now come with a warning in the content warnings section of the book. 

This book in particular just hit different. I'm excited for the next book in the series. Many well wishes to the author Lily Mayne!
