I Would say That this was slower than the previous book, I also was a bit confused with why the mages made the choices they made considering I know Vilgefortz worked for Nilfgaard. I also thoroughly disliked the rape of Ciri in the end of the book, I hoped it wouldn’t happen to her. Eager to keep reading but also angry that Ciri has to go through so much shit.
