It's a good read but so hard to get into and concentrate on. Maybe too much description of everything. Sometimes that takes away from what is going on especially in a genre that needs action.

A little weak for this series, I felt, but not a 3 star.

WOW! What a cliffhanger! Kat Richardson keeps upping the ante for this series.

It's a toss up between this one and the last one...Vanished I believe (without looking)...over which is the darker one. If this keeps up it's certainly going to be interesting to see where Harper ends up. I just hope Ms. Richardson is careful and doesn't make Harper out to be some incredibly powerful person/creature all at once. The appeal of these books so far has been whether or not a character was going to make it through and in what state. I applaud Ms. Richardson for being willing to push her characters to the limit but I caution her to be careful they aren't pushed so hard it becomes difficult to suspend belief.

I'm not sure whether it was the book or me that make reading this take forever and a day. It wasn't bad, but I never fully slipped into Harper's world this go round. Well, at least not for quite awhile, anyway. About the time Harper ends up dog sitting, the book finally sucked me in.

That said, a lot happened in Labryinth. The body count rises and holy frick does the ending make me want the next book now. But maybe part of my problem was reading this immediately after the previous book, Vanished. Usually I have time to mull over the events of one book before catapulting onto the next one, but somehow I missed Vanished's original publication so... back to back reads.

My latest Endeavour book read - not as good as book 4 but not bad - diverting, interesting, different view of magic. But just didn't grab me as much as I'd like. I'm still pretty much tired of all form of vampires though - not that I ever liked them much. 4 of 5.

Picking up where "Vanished" left off, Harper is on the case trying to foil Wygan's nefarious plans, find Edward, save her father and oh, stay alive. Throw in an ex-boyfriend, current lover and a ferret and you've got a good read. Cleared up a few questions I had but leaves more to be discovered in the next installment.

{Previously Published on my blog: Welcome to Larissa's Bookish Life"
Rating: 2 & 1/2 stars!

*Contains minor spoilers if you haven’t read the previous books.

Labyrinth starts off right where Vanished let off. Harper is back from the whole mess that happened in London to find that things haven’t been peaceful at all at home.

The Vampire Leader of the city is missing, his assistant has gone to his rival’s Wygan’s side, Harper’s dad’s ghost is in captivity and her life along with everything she loves is in danger, again.

I was really looking forward to this new installment of the Greywalker series, but I have to say I was disappointed. One of the things I was really happy about was that Harper was coming back and I was finally going to see some Harper and Quinton interaction. Quinton was amazing and at his most supportive and loving, however Harper was so cold that it really bothered me.

Quinton was right there, ready to do anything for her, loving her and she couldn’t even say she loved him? After everything they have been through? I don’t get that. Ok, I get that she has been closing herself off and that she has lost people she loved, but it was just too much coldness for me.

The action was quite interesting and the plot was very intricate taking the stakes higher than they have ever been for Harper and her friends. Though I have to say that the pace was a bit slow at times and I had to keep pushing myself to through the book.

The ending was undeniably a surprise and it left a nice cliffhanger, I am very curious as to where Kat Richardson is planning to take the series. I just hope Harper warms up some, I really need her to be less cold so I can really get into her plea.

All in all, Labyrinth was far from my favorite book in this series, but it was an interesting read. Even though it had it’s shortcomings, I do recommend the Greywalker series to Urban Fantasy lovers!
