I don’t think I’ve been this heartbroken over a book since Call Me By Your Name.

objectively very good and well-written. i think my favorite part of this was how it shows how bad, how mean all 3 of our lead characters can be when it comes to love or their lack of it. i found myself interested in this story and these people, but not really connecting to it or desiring to pick the book back up again. i could see everything very vividly in my head as it happened, which was an enjoyable experience because i don’t always get that with books. i do like the way this was written and formatted. this book is melancholic for sure, and usually i feel strongly about books with such a tone, but not so much with this one. hmm
