What in the heck was that???? This was so good.
Thistle, sweet Thistle, actually more like delulu, unhinged Thistle. I really loved her so much. I don't know how to describe her yet, the reason for that is because I don't think we've seen her true self, only what she's been made into at the hand of others. What I can say is that she is fiercy loyal to her alphas, obsessed with bunny and has such a unique and deadly way of thinking.
Our mmc's are Rogue and Knox. Let me preface this by saying all of these mmc's including our beautiful Thistle are all so unhinged and I don't know if they have anything redeeming about them but they are all so perfect for Thistle. They are both very likable.
The plot was insane. Marie always has a way of drawing me into her stories and this story was no different. What all these characters went through was nothing short of a****. There is definitely more to all of their backstories that factor into who they are today. The flashbacks were utterly heartbreaking. I want more from these characters because I feel like we've only just touched the surface. I really liked that Thistle grew close to both Rogue and Knox. It took Knox a second to get with it but once he did, it was evident he has feelings for Thistle. Rogue is such a good alpha to Thistle, love him.
I can't wait to see what happens next because that ending was a massive cliffhanger... it actually wrecked my brain for a second there. I have lots of questions though...

Every time I read something by Marie Mackay I'm like, okay, this is the best thing she's ever written, and somehow she topped it?? Again??
Im in love with Thistle. She's unlike any other omega I've read. She's a tad ✨️crazy✨️ but we love that for her. It breaks your heart a little bit reading through what goes on in her head so seeing her fight for her alphas is 🤌🤌. You're gonna giggle and kick your feet at some of the absolute off the wall stuff she does you just can't help it.
The dynamic between Knox and Rogue was so interesting. There's hints about why they are the way they are throughout the book but you don't really get to the meat of it until towards the end and by that point you're like holy heck?? They're both kind of awful but Knox they could never make me hate you.
It gets your attention from the first chapter and trust me it's gonna have you in a chokehold the entire way through.

I absolutely love Thistle! This author always delivers on her omegaverse books! They are always so captivating and just suck you right in, and this book is no different. These characters are 100% morally grey and I’m loving it. I will be patiently (impatiently) waiting to see what happens in part two!

Oh. My. God. I can’t say too much without giving it all away.
Overview: Thistle (Ace Maverick’s scent match) is captured for an underground trafficking ring for the dark and depraved. During which she scents another match! She’s purchased by Knox, whose ‘pet’ alpha, Rogue, is her scent match as a sort of tool against Rogue. Eventually, Thistle twists them both around her crafty little fingers.
This was everything I wanted from Thistle’s story and more. I assumed from Glade’s story that Thistle went a little mentally haywire from Ace, but that’s only half true! So much to unpack from her backstory. And it had so much flavor to her relationships, although I’d love to see what happens when she finally gets in contact with Glade and her guys again!
I was a little worried I wouldn’t understand Thistle or connect to her because of her rambling state of mind, but honestly you get used to it. I love how both Knox and Rogue also eventually get on the same wavelength.
I LOVE Knox! He’s so tortured it’s delicious. And Rogue is the other side of that coin. Their relationship is just begging for an ultimate showdown. The constant battle for dominance and the fight to be someone worthy while also giving into darker tendencies…
The ending had me screaming! I honestly don’t know how I’m going to wait for part two. I might go mad before then!
