• wanted to enjoy it more than I actually did
• characters were often pretty unlikeable… not necessarily a bad thing, but I didn’t get much opportunity to empathize with them besides their background
• interesting concept
• loved the idea for the lore, but some of it was inconsistent and straight up odd (that basketball scene???)

The Only Good Indians utilizes an incredibly unique narrative style, really feeling as if you're following the characters' thoughts through every event in the book. This really lets you get to know the characters and lends itself to the book's tenser moments, in which the tension is almost palpable.

Too descriptive of the gore from injuries, too many unnecessary deaths. I wanted to enjoy this book but all it did was read like a snuff film (book) where everyone dies for the sake of dying. Yes, there was a vengeful spirit, yes there was a few interesting things, but honestly, if you don't enjoy hardcore gore and horror, stay away.
