I was astonished and impressed throughout the whole book. By the end my eyes were bulging out of my head. Everyone should read this book. I was especially fascinated by its relevance even today in regards to the warnings about imperialism, power, society, and corruption.

Let's just say I wouldn't have read it if it wasn't required for class, but it wasn't as bad as I'd expected it to be. (I have really low expectations from classics in the general sense.)

A good reminder of how totalitarian leaders lie outright. Believe what they say.

I liked the concept of this book and I think it was really well written in its purpose to reflect history and the natures of unstable government. However, I think this book could’ve been about 40 pages shorter and still could’ve gotten its point across. I’m glad i read it, but it was a bit boring still.

Read in high school. Solid allegorical satire, but I can't remember enjoying it or learning from it immensely.
