The entire book I’m thinking one thing and all of a sudden Rebecca Yarros pulls a different thing and I’m BAWLING. There’s literally no other word to describe it. I’m equally disappointed and satisfied with the turn of events.

This was probably one of the most emotional books I’ve ever read. It absolutely gutted me. I should have known it was going to rip my heart out when I got through the first 38 pages. It’s such an emotional story. But so good.

Loved this story of Ella & Beckett, the love they developed as writing each other while he was in Special Ops. There is quite a bit of tragedy in both of their lives & throughout the story. But the premise, the letters, & what builds brings it all together.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

I have read several other books of hers and I think this is the best one.

Gosh that was beautiful and absolutely devastating. So much of it was heartbreaking but it was so honest and heartfelt too. I thought the grief was handled in such a real way, raw and genuine and not glossed over, and thread of the emotion, love, sacrifice and hope was woven in throughout. Really well written and so hard to put down. Loved it.
